IPv6 is the successor to IPv4, using 128-bit addresses to provide a vastly larger address space.
We need IPv6 because IPv4 addresses are running out, IoT and device growth require unique addresses. Also IPv6 provides virtually unlimited addresses, improved security, better mobility and scalability.
IPv6 ensures the Internets continued growth and sustainability.
IPv4’s longevity was extended through technical workarounds but its limitations make it unsustainable for the growing Internet.
